The Israel Experience Program

      Research has shown time and again what every Jewish parent knows –an Israel Experience changes everything for young people. They return home with a strong sense of their Jewish identity which they never lose.

      Partners in the programs are:


      Summer programs are three to six weeks long and are tailored to the interests of each group. All programs cover the following basic educational, historical themes and current issues:


      • Jewish identity and Jewish sovereignty in Israel
      • The Jewish People and the Land of Israel
      • Israeli society
      • Israel-Arab relations – history and perspectives on the peace process
      • Judaism – symbols and values
      • The Holocaust
      • Shabbat
      • Hebrew language studies
      • Jerusalem
      • Mutual responsibility – the relationship between Diaspora and Israeli youth


      Program elements include:


      • A visit to the theater
      • A visit to the Israel or Haaretz Museum
      • An Israeli Musical Experience
      • An Israeli folklore activity
      • A visit to a Bedouin or Druse community
      • Interaction with Israeli peers and a direct encounter with the real Israel—from the Western Wall to Massada, from the marketplaces to the malls.
