      A Passing Phrase

      • Did you think you knew some Hebrew until you began to talk?
      • Can you not see the connection between some Hebrew phrases and their translations? (Don't worry - there probably isn't.)
      • Do you want to smile and enrich your modern Hebrew vocabulary at the same time?
If you answered "yes" to any of these, then our new list, A PASSING PHRASE is for you.

A Passing Phrase is all about enhancing your current knowledge of spoken Hebrew in a fun and informal way. It is a dissemination list over which every few days, a useful Hebrew phrase or word will be explained in its spoken context. Using the least common denominator of simple-text email, the phrases/words will be transliterated (spelled phonetically in English).

If you are interested in subscribing to Passing Phrase, here are the instructions on how to do so:

      Send the following email message:
      To: listproc@shamash.org
