Jewish Agency head addresses WJC

Diaspora Jews have proved their solidarity with Israel during the present crisis, the chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel said. Speaking Thursday before the leadership of the World Jewish Congress, Sallai Meridor said the 20^th century was characterized by Diaspora Jewry's efforts for the establishment and building of the State of Israel. The 21^st century, he added, "will be characterized by the interdependence of Diaspora Jewry and Israel."
