The Jewish Agency for Israel operates in more than sixty countries around the world, and in hundreds of localities in Israel: i.e. in virtually every corner of the world where a Jew is in need. The need to effectively facilitate collective action on a global scale calls for unique infrastructure deployment. The Jewish Agency, with its headquarters in Jerusalem, manages dozens of offices abroad while maintaining infrastructure operations on six continents and in Israel's Northern, Central and Southern regions. The maintenance of these operations, and the flexibility to expand them as neede is critical to providing the most efficient services to the Jewish Agency's clients. Regional units are responsible for representing the Jewish Agency in their area, encouraging and facilitating lay and volunteer involvement, enhancing public support, providing a regional perspective for planning and key decisions and coordinating Jewish Agency mission-related activities. |
